P.C. 1001 – Simple Assault
Definition:
Simple Assault (No Weapon) occurs when an individual intentionally attempts to cause physical harm to another person, or engages in threatening behavior that places another person in reasonable fear of imminent bodily injury, without the use of a deadly weapon.
Examples:
- Throwing a punch that misses
- Shoving someone during an argument
- Verbally threatening someone while advancing aggressively
Classification:
- Misdemeanor
Punishment Guidelines (Server Roleplay):
- Jail Time: 7 minutes
- Fine: $500
- Possible probation or community service depending on severity
Notes:
- Escalates to Aggravated Assault if a weapon is involved or serious injury occurs.
- Officers may use discretion based on context and witness statements.
